A highly competitive offshore racing yacht, optimised to the IRC rule whilst retaining the handling characteristics of a safe and comfortable, short handed cruising yacht. The Elliott 44 CR has been designed as a competitive offshore racing yacht that can be optimised to the IRC rule but also has the handling characteristics of a safe and comfortable short handed cruiser. The E44 CR has a medium beam, stable hull form with minimal wetted surface. Generous freeboard and topside flare provide dry and comfortable cruising.Keel and rudder are well refined to offer the most lift for the less drag. The rig and sail plan, using a fractional spar, provides easy handling whilst cruising but allows the E44CR to enter race mode quickly. The interior is functional and provides space and comfort for cruising with practical efficient layout for racing.

Highly competitive fully crewed and short handed

The Elliott 44 cruiser racer  has proven to be highly competitive on all points of sail and rates extremely well on IRC.  The E44cr is designed to be sailed comfortably when sailing short handed.

Stability and comfort

The Elliott 44 CR has a medium beam, stable hull form with minimal wetted surface. Generous freeboard and topside flare provide the added bonus ofdry and comfortable cruising.

Practical rig and sail plan

The rig and sail plan, using a fractional spar, provides easy handling whilst cruising but allows the Elliott 44CR to enter race mode quickly. Keel and rudder are well refined to offer the most lift for the less drag. By design it is highly suited to fully crewed or short handed sailing.
