Congratulations to Leonard Takahasi  and his Pacific Racing Crew, winners of  The CentrePort Wellington International Youth Match Racing Regatta. The win in this regatta  was Takahashi’s  5^th International win this season. 
The event , which has been sponsored by CentrePort Wellington for 16 years, is run by the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club and was sailed in the WYST new fleet of Elliott 6Sport yachts. The event  featured many  up and coming international youth match racing crews from Australia, Japan, Great Britain and New Zealand. In the wild and windy conditions the crews demonstrated spectacular sailing skills over the 5 days in gusts of up to 35 knots.  The new yachts were put through some extreme manoeuvres and proved themselves well in the testing conditions.  Callum Radford and crew (representing the Wellington Youth Sailing Trust’s under 23 squad took  out 2^nd place with Finn Tapper & crew from CYCA finishing 3^rd.
